How to request deletion
- Email hello@hostelprice.com from the email address connected to your HostelPrice account.
- Use the subject line HostelPrice data deletion request.
- Include your account email and property name. Do not send a password, verification code, payment-card details, or other sensitive credentials.
- Tell us whether you want the entire account deleted or only a specific WhatsApp number or property removed.
If you cannot email from the account address, explain why. We will use a proportionate alternative check to confirm that you control the account or phone number.
Identity verification
We verify deletion requests to prevent someone else from deleting your data. We may ask you to confirm through your account email or provide limited information that matches your account. We will never ask for your password, full payment-card number, or a WhatsApp verification code.
What we delete
A valid full-account request deletes or de-identifies tenant-owned data, including:
- your account profile and contact details;
- your properties, competitor selections, tier mappings, alert rules, and onboarding records;
- your WhatsApp number, verification state, and channel preferences;
- alerts, alert batches, delivery attempts, and provider events tied to your account; and
- subscription records tied to the account, except records we must retain for legal or accounting reasons.
What may be retained
HostelPrice uses a shared registry of public hostel listings and public rate and rank observations. Those market records are not created only for one customer and remain after an account is deleted; the link between them and your account is removed. We may also retain narrowly limited security, fraud-prevention, transaction, legal, and backup records for as long as necessary or required by law. Retained records are not used to continue marketing or alert delivery.
Response time
We aim to acknowledge a request within 7 days and complete a verified request within 30 days. If applicable law allows or requires more time, we will tell you why and provide a revised date.
WhatsApp STOP is different
Replying STOP disables WhatsApp messages to that number. It does not delete your account or other data. To request deletion, follow the email steps above.
